The move to our new studio space quickly approaches at the end of this month, and Chris has been designing his little heart away.

Most people spend more time at work than they do at home. That definitely includes us. Happily, of course! Keeping this in mind, Chris always approaches the office design [it will be helium’s third studio] with the same love and attention he gives his home, with the hope to inspire creativity.  The look and feel of a space is a reflection of who you are, it impacts the area and helps to make the community. It sets the tone when people visit and leaves a lasting impression. It is an extension of the brand, of the full experience.

For the new beach studio Chris selected the same rustic elements – the wood, the concrete and of course plants, but in more refined finishes. A smooth surface on the wood instead of rough and reclaimed, polished concrete instead of unfinished.

A similar and inviting, approachable color palette.

The intention was to intertwine the helium personality and eclectic design aesthetic with the feel of the location, a charming collection of mid-century modern buildings each with the unique, personalized touch of their inhabitants.

This collection of drool worthy industrial design goodness inspired the space we will soon call home.

We plan to showcase more of our own work in the new space, on shelves and as a gallery wall.

We all know Chris is most excited about incorporating plants into the new space; he finds comfort in nature and bringing plants in is the next best thing. A cascading, living plant wall in the back of the space and lush, planter boxes in front of the glass storefront will make it so the glass disappears and literally bring the outside in.

Two lounge areas will soften the space, one in front will be a cozy waiting area and the other in back will be a more private inspiration nook.

We’d love to hear what you think of our plans and hope you stop by to say hi! We’ll be just north of Oakland Park Blvd. + A1A at
