In early April, Chris + Kelly headed back to Amelia Island to art direct a photoshoot for one of our recent clients // Revelation Design. Surrounded by brides, wedding dresses, and TONS of flowers – the brand we developed for this floral + event concepts studio was brought to life through photography.
With plans to build a new website for Revelation Design, we knew a custom photoshoot was a must. Stock imagery was not going to cut it as we needed to showcase the studio’s floral and event design artistry firsthand.
With a main goal of capturing a larger bride clientele, Revelation enlisted local wedding photographer, Jessica Lea, and started to prepare for an epic bridal-inspired photoshoot.
As brand experience creators, we take pride in making sure every component is in-line with the intention of the brand. Knowing this, Revelation enlisted helium to fly up to Amelia Island to art direct the 1-day shoot.
The first step was hopping on a conference call with the photographer to convey how we envisioned the brand taking shape through a photoshoot. By reviewing examples of composition, models, dresses, and photo filters – we made sure to all be on the same page before the first picture was taken.
On the day of and on-location, Chris + Kelly scouted the woods behind Revelation’s studio warehouse and coordinated with the photographer the best spots to capture the shots.
Then came time to choose the final dress selection, pair dresses with models, oversee hair + makeup, and – the most exciting part – work with Revelation on how to best capture the amazing floral arrangements.
We’ll also let you in on a little secret, Kelly had her debut as a Revelation Design model! She slipped on a wedding dress, underwent the hair + makeup experience, and posed for the camera bringing the day to an end with smiles all across the board.
Check out some of these cool timelapse videos and shots taken by Chris that capture the essence of the photoshoot.
