Heather Davis received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture at Florida Atlantic University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, in 2010. Her artistic education and experience spans multiple genres as a Musical Theater alumni of Miami's esteemed New World School of the Arts and as a vocalist at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Davis's work has been included in various exhibitions at Broward College and Florida Atlantic University in South Florida where she received several top awards for her mixed media conceptual sculptures. Encompassing a wide range of medium and subject matter, her work spans from conceptual multimedia sculptures and figural representations to installations using common domestic and organic materials. While much of her work speaks to various social concerns focused on the body, gender roles, and family dynamics, she approaches all of her work by indulging in her obsession with the tactility of the materials themselves, whether organic or inorganic. She currently lives and works as an artist, musician, and tutor in her hometown, Hollywood, Florida.
