When helium was approached by FATVillage to not only rebrand, but build a new website and marketing material, we were overly excited. Not only is FATVillage a budding Arts community in Fort Lauderdale, it is also home to our studio. Our core objective for this project was to highlight the studios that are located in FATVillage, to drive traffic to each artist as well as the community as a whole. We have since created an award-winning logo and website, mobile app and collateral material.
In order to truly showcase FATVillage as a strong Arts District, we knew that an iconic logo needed to be created. A simple, typographic piece that could stand strong against artwork but also on it’s own. We floated the name within a strong, solid color. helium selected 10 colors to represent FATVillage, creating a unique identity for each.
As FATVillage would grow, we knew the brand had to seamlessly grow with it. Something that would still apply 10 years from now. All of the print collateral followed suit and assisted in creating a brand that is unmistakable. helium created custom maps, business cards, stickers, postcards and various promotional material.
The new FATVillage website was geared toward promoting the community and the creative businesses + artists within it. We created custom pages within the site for every studio, artist and business in FATVillage, allowing them to personalize their page by adding images, blogs, personal events and information.
We pitched an interactive app that was approved and ultimately designed + developed with the objective of getting visitors to interact with FATVillage both personally and on their mobile device. We created a custom scavenger hunt that prompted users to go in and out of studio to photograph icons that were placed around FATVillage. The app also has photo challenge galleries where users are prompted via push notification of new FATVillage photo challenges to participate in.
